Here is Fernando, from Speakeasy (the Employee’s Only bar owners’ book). We had some sickness in the family and this fernet-forward drink was perfect to slap the sickness out of them (that’s how it works, right?)
- 1 ¼ oz Fernet Branca
- 1 ¾ oz Cinzano Bianco Vermou
- ¾ oz Galliano
Stir with ice, and garnish with an expressed sprig of mint.
How critical is the Cinzano VS another vermouth? Always looking for Fernet cocktails to justify buying a bottle. Not sure I have seen Cinzano
I would say it’s not that important; I didn’t have that particular bottle, so I substituted Dolin Blanc and it was delicious.
