          There’s not… It’s been oversold as the jobs promised land for over 30 years to the extent that uneducated entry level people working in the industry these days are all working in asian countries, using fake degrees, and making virtually nothing

              Definitely worth studying that. In my experience is more fun to work on the red side. With penetration testing etc, instead of the blue side as av analyst or whatever

        Anyone who thinks AI will replace or diminish tech workers and especially IT/sysadmins is a fool… it’s like saying computers will replace scientists, or calculators will replace theoretical/applied mathematicians…

          Scientists and mathematicians are only safe because Pi is an irrational number and they know that.

        I’ve actually considered that as maybe a reason not to go to the trade school in my city that offers an IT program.
