I’m currently living in a third world country that happens to have a law similar to the EU’s GDPR. Can I actually exercise my third world rights just like you do in the EU?
You don’t need to be in the EU to exercise rights under GDPR. Any entity that wants to interact with the EU needs to comply regardless of where in the world it exists.
I don’t know your local laws, but I imagine it is a similar scenario. All this means if you can’t make use of your local laws, you can do the same as OP and use GDPR (even though you are not necessarily an EU country)

Oh, I didn’t know that!
I think so, it’s not a matter of being in EU but of local regulations. If reddit’s accessible from your country then they must comply.
