Feels like a purge of personnel and equipment. Why they would do that though makes no sense, unless they just didn’t want the extra burden over winter.

The tactics are wrong, and they are gaining mere meters over 3 days, for 4:1 losses.

      4:1 losses.

From some of the stories I’ve heard, t’s even worse than that, and I hope that’s true, because while 4:1 is impressive by the Ukrainians, it just about matches population sizes, making it basically a stalemate. This is how insane this war is for Ukraine!

Russia will never be able to mobilize like Ukraine. Ukrainians have a just cause and they’re defending themselves.

I agree that Ukraine is obviously better motivated and have just cause. But unfortunately Russians believe they have just cause too, because they are pumped with propaganda daily, claiming Ukrainians and NATO are the bad guys, and that Russia is fighting for their right to their own protection.
They even claim NATO started this! Somehow forcing the hand of Russia because reasons?

AFAIK 3:1 is minimum requirement for Ukraine to match Russia. Then we can hope Russia is forced to quit for reasons other than military.

Probably commanders are desperate for some kind of victory ahead of Russia’s upcoming election and they just really do not care about individual soldiers (though not sure the election even matters either given how rigged they are). They were probably told to capture Andiivka to get a high profile victory, that’s all that matters, the troops/equipment are all expendable.
