This can’t all be the result of injuries, can it? Do we need to spend even more on new players? Play the kids? New manager? Ratcliffe in charge? Bit of everything?

I don’t even know what this team’s trying to do most of the time. It’s like they don’t know what to do with the ball or how to defend, etc.

There is no easy fix, should have bit the bullet when Ten Hag came in and do a complete rebuild, don’t extend Bruno, don’t sign Casemiro and Eriksen, go for young cheap talent and suffer for a season or two.

But you can’t do that, because then the lucrative deals don’t happen, so the team is in this ever-ongoing patchwork mode where each manager comes in, signs some players, then does okay, until the next season when they get more players, but still not enough to implement their style they want to play, form goes to shit then that manager gets sacked and we get a new manager and start all over again.

I think the only possible fix is that when Ratcliffe comes in, he comes with his own CEO/DoF to run things and there will be a comprehensive plan going forward, some short-term pain for long-term gain, whether Ten Hag will last that long, who knows, expect to see him at a team like Barcelona though and win the LaLiga and the CL though after he leaves us.

Isn’t that what EtH was trying to do? Get rid of some of those players?

I still don’t see why he doesn’t play the kids. At least those guys will run their lungs out and give 100% effort which is more than what most of the regulars output.

100% agree. At this point there is no quick fix within one or two years for the club. Somebody needs to come in and take control of the club, and EtH needs to get the players that will have us playing the way he wants to play.

Tired of signing and extending players that do not work at all with the manager. It’s time to finish 10th for 2 or 3 seasons, and build to something, similar to Liverpool and Arsenal.
