Abortion is about control and punishing women. When you get away from the rhetoric, it comes down to slut shaming women for having sex. They don’t actually care if babies are saved. They only care that women are punished.

And birth control would be free or subsidized by the States. But I totally agree. “Children” are only a tool to scare well-meaning people into thinking there’s a problem where there is none.
