#loneliness #depression #surgeryWhat does loneliness have to do with surgery? Why did the surgeon general declare a loneliness epidemic?💛 Learn about Dr. Ka...
He didn’t even finish his story about the surgery he delayed because he believed a patient (75) to be lonely (apparently a “dangerous” condition for surgery). But if it is so dangerous, then why isn’t it asked of patients before surgery? He said he even likes to talk to his patients the night before. I’d be pissed if I prepped for surgery and an anesthesiologist stopped it even though I’d followed all the steps. This is why you don’t talk to people, or make up a better story for their amusement.
When I’m out and about I’m generally the lonely one, I feel, in a conversation (not the only one out here, of course), if that makes sense. I always stop to talk to people. Yet, when I think about it, almost never is the reverse true. No one is stopping to check anything.
