The “he’s an incumbent” bullshit was just an excuse because the party would rather have someone who would vote to have Texas’ abortion laws enforced nationwide than have someone who might vote to raise the minimum wage.
Cuellar may be a conservative, but he’s not a criminal. Big difference.
