Said mod then starts sending abusive transphobic messages to me. Try to report the user. Nothing happens when I hit the button.

To my understanding, admins gets all reports too. But that also means they’re getting hundreds of reports
Or more accurately, go to the mod in question who will turn around and pepper me with abuse.

That just sends it to the moderator of that community, which in some cases will be the same user (like OP) or users who behave like them. There really needs to be a “Report to Admin” function, for both users and communities.
