Definitely gave them a wide berth both out of respect and fear. I saw a monkey get into someone’s backpack and steal a bag of chips, run with it, open it, and eat it. Our guide told us the monkeys were capable of pickpocketing and holding your stuff hostage for food.

Awww this brings back memories. I went to Ubud on my honeymoon. Great pic. Those monkeys are aggressive if you get near them with food!
