Said mod then starts sending abusive transphobic messages to me. Try to report the user. Nothing happens when I hit the button.

Shit like this is why Lemmy isn’t a viable alternative yet. We need to do better and be better.

        It’s an often requested feature that I’m sure will come to Lemmy sooner rather than later, but in the meantime there is a bit of a workaround: if you’re using a browser then you can block a whole instance using ublock origin. Note that Firefox mobile supports ublock as well.
