On Android, when you disable a system app, all you’re doing is removing user data and the configuration files for it. In both scenarios, the app is still retained. You’ve only removed it from your home screen and anywhere it may appear in actions. Removing built-in iOS apps won’t free up storage space on your device. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/100567 Because the app is still functionally there. This has been the case since Apple introduced the feature in iOS 10.

On iOS, when you delete a system app, all you’re doing is removing user data and the configuration files for it.
