After a certain point in popularity it is assumed the celeb is going to sooner or later:

Be doxxed

Have death threats thrown at them

Be sexually harassed

Have police called on them

Then we have all the Vtubers who are Hannah Monatanning it up and straight chilling. Ironmouse has never been swatted, but by God some people would if they could, and others would probably show up at her house to show their “love”.

Dream is an example of someone who shouldn’t have let out who he was IMO because the attacks against him seemed to become a lot more real once there was a real human name, face, and location. Like I would have gone to the grave as Dream with how many people hated him before his face reveal.

Besides HM, I have no clue who the people you’re talking about are or what niche they fall into, but sounds bad

Vtubers are streamers who assume a persona and don’t show their face. Usually a computer generated model will be used instead of a regular face camera. They use tracking tech to make the model mimic their movements. Ironmouse is a popular vtuber.

Dream is a minecraft youtuber who hid behind a persona too, though they didn’t have a vtuber model - they just didn’t show their face. He had a ton of fans being enamoured with him, up to the point of obsession. He then decided to do a face reveal, which wasn’t really met positively.

And now allegations are being made against Dream, and every dude on Twitter wants him burnt alive.
