Final Fantasy XVI, and it’s consuming my thoughts to a degree that surprises me, considering I haven’t really liked one of those games since FFX. I’ve already put 15 hours on it since Friday (quite a bit for me, I don’t get very much time to game these days). It really is incredible; I haven’t had this much fun with a game since probably Read Dead II. I’m also playing Battlebit Remastered on the rare occasion that my friends and I are able to game at the same time.
I travel for work so on my laptop I installed Fallout 4 with a modpack obtained through Wabbajack installer (Welcome to Paradise) and I’m playing through as a melee-only knight. I’m using console commands to stock up on stimpacks and radaway so that I don’t have to stop and loot since I’ve played this game several times; I can just run around like a madman with a sword, slicing legions of enemies apart. Playing it as an action game has been a ton of fun.

For the moment, this is my favorite solo gaming experience in a while. I absolutely love it.
It’s a perfect match: good DMC gameplay with a story that is for the moment very intriguing and well written. I can’t wait to get home and play.
