I know that sounds like a stupid ass question. I have the Logitech wireless mx keys. I wiped the keyboard down so the surface of the keys aren’t sticky, just hard to press down and some have a spasm.

Since a whole ass thing of coffee did not short it, it gives some credibility that it is water resistant. Can I just dump water on it to help it?

First of all I believe your keyboard has a built in lithium ion battery. If this is the case, DO NOT introduce any liquids (or heat) unless you have physically removed the battery.

There are people claiming you can rinse keyboards, or even use a dishwasher (lowest temperature, remove before drying cycle) either after separating the electronics from the rest of the keyboard or even without that.

Water itself doesn’t kill electronics, corrosion and power getting to the wrong spot do. Corrosion happens really quickly if power is applied while wet, and obviously wet + power can apply power where it shouldn’t. So whatever you do, make sure all power - including internal batteries - are removed until completely dry. That means days.

Isopropyl alcohol evaporates more quickly, which is why it’s sometimes recommend. However, it’s also a solvent and can attack some plastics. It is fine for cleaning most PCBs (“circuit boards”). IPA is highly flammable. See the warning about batteries above.
