My problem with raisins in oatmeal is the texture. I don’t like the mouthfeel of warm raisins, and I hate biting into a raisin when I thought it was just oats. The taste is fine, though.
Two things for me- honey and raisins. I’m good with that.

Put the raisins just before eating. I hate the texture of soggy raisins, but like them, when theyre dry.
That is already when I would put them in, and is how I came to my conclusions.
The worst part of any oatmeal mix, I used to separate them out, now I just hunt them down to get the worst over with before I can actually enjoy it.
I doubt I could convince my daughter to even try oatmeal. She won’t even eat cereal. All she’ll agree to eat for breakfast right now is Pop Tarts.
Raisins are dried wrinkley bugs no sane living being can tolerate.
