Tesla has filed a lawsuit against the Swedish state via Sweden’s Transport Agency after striking postal workers in the Scandinavian country stopped delivering license plates for new vehicles manufactured by the Texas-based automaker. Tesla says it's suing because not accessing the registration plates “constitutes an unlawful discriminatory attack directed at Tesla.” In October, members of the powerful metalworkers’ union IF Metall walked out from seven workshops which service Tesla cars, demanding a collective bargaining agreement, which most employees in Sweden have. The postal workers’ union joined others in a wave of sympathy with IF Metall’s demands. Tesla is non-unionized globally.

Tesla goes on the offensive, trying to sue people to stop the strikes. Specifically, the license-plate strike (wow, them Swedes go hard on this union stuff, don’t they??). Since we’re now seeing like 4 or 5 different strikes happen simultaneously now. (Or more? I lost track honestly…)

I’m not very familiar with European politics or Sweden in general. But given the last few lawsuits Elon has done, I think this is just an intimidation tactic. In my ignorance, I’ll just assume this lawsuit (like many of Elon’s last legal outbursts) will fail.

    The thing is that basically everyone in Sweden is in a union. I can’t see this playing out well for Tesla regardless of the outcome.
