The facist supports genocide more as well, don’t forget that. Best friends with Netanyahu. In fact, Trump explicitly endorsed Netanyahu in Israel’s elections. Trump also moved to recognize Israeli settlements as legal (decades of US precendent had treated these as Illegal under international law), moved the US embassy to Jerusalem against the wishes of Palestinians, and tons more.

Handy list: 100 times Trump supported Israel

Anyone expecting Trump to put more pressure on Israel than Biden is going to be very disappointed.

That’s why I’ve been screaming about the two shitty ass choices we have (People keep downvoting me when I say I won’t vote for Biden either). This needs to stop. We can’t be always stuck with this “the lesser of two evils” forever. We can’t always vote for the other person just because he is not a Republican, that’s just fucking bullshit. I need to vote for a person who actually has my best interest in mind. People still go bankrupt from medical bills. Still neck deep in student loans debt. Kids still can’t get free meals in school. The country still looks like a 3rd world country. I want that shit to be taken care of, I don’t want to just “beat the Republicans” in this fucking circus.

Sorry mate, but as of this coming election, these are probably your choices. If you don’t vote, the only thing you’re doing is increasing the risk of the greater of two evils.

If you want better politicians to run for president (which is a very reasonable wish to have) you’re first going to have to vote them in at lower levels. The problem, to me, appears to be that those who make it to the top end up being bad choices for a lot of people. I attribute that to low voter turnout in lower level elections, which leads to decent politicians never making it to the point where they can run for top level offices.

I’m not going to shred on you for feeling apathetic, I can understand that. I’m just going to point out that when given the choice between two evils, you need to reflect on whether you think it’s right to not choose, even if that leads to the greater of the two coming to pass.

Thank you for not going the “I’m going to bully you into voting for my candidate and make you feel like shit for even thinking of not voting for them” route. I’ve made up my mind. I’m not sitting it out, but I’m not voting for either of the two options I have, but I’ll vote.

Voting blank? I can respect that as making a political point. But even though you say you’ve made up your mind: Can I please encourage you to stay up-to-date on what is being done by the candidates, and to keep an open mind that you may still be won over?

Elections are still almost a year off, idk what it could be, but perhaps you see something and think “that was actually pretty decent, I could vote for that guy if he does more of that.” And the way I see it, that’s the best possible outcome right now, however unlikely it may be/feel.

It’s not because he’s not a republican. If there was a republican who didn’t have horrific policies in literally every area maybe I would consider voting for them.

I’m tired of this “both sides” are the same crap that is obviously untrue for anyone who pays even the slightest bit of attention. No the democrats haven’t been perfect even though they have done a lot of good, but the republicans are actively working to hurt most people.

For your examples, which political party is trying to strip Healthcare coverage from more people? Which political party is trying to make it so half of all Americans can’t get any Healthcare coverage again by bringing back junk insurance and pre existing conditions? What political party refuses to expand Medicaid to cover more people out of pure spite when money is sitting there on the table for it? What policital party sued to stop student loan debt forgiveness? What political parry appointed the hack judges who decided Biden wasn’t allowed to forgive student debt even with multiple laws explicitly saying he can? What political party raised student loan interest rates in the past? What political party held the entire government and full faith and credit of the united states hostage rather than let nationwide free school lunch continue? (not to mention most democratic states immediately reinstated it on a state level)

So sure there are some legitimate criticisms, I think he could do more to pressure Israel, though finally he’s gotten the “pause” he wanted. But get out of here with this both sides are the same stuff. That’s not remotely true and never has been.

Because every election becomes even more polarized and more of an end game. I would love to have options too, but at this rate there won’t be a next time

You get down voted because there’s no other way with our current election set up and, for all intents and purposes, two parties unless a massive amount of people vote third party. The only other option is to slowly change to another voting system.

You’re right. Everything you listed is accurate and needs to be fixed and won’t until we fix voting.
