This muzzle cover was probably intended to protect the rifle from having mud enter it’s barrel. But it’d be pretty awkward to forget to lift that cap, so they linked it to the trigger pull.
One problem. The front sight is on the cap. That means unless your pulling the trigger you won’t have a front sight to aim. This is problematic. Aiming is somewhat important.
Thusly earning this gun it’s place on this community.

It looks like the center point on the cover sticks up slightly which might act as a front sight?

Unfortunately it’s not at the same height as the peak of the blade at full extension. This means that while.you might be able to have a consistent left right zero you will be shooting high or low often.
