Dead bodies … like thousands or even millions of dead bodies rotting in the streets will be the only motivation the world will need in order to react to global climate change.

Don’t get carried away with this … I don’t mean for anyone to go out and kill people. What I’m saying is that the world won’t take any of this seriously until global climate change affects the world so much that thousands or millions of people start dying.

In the meantime, everyone will ignore the warning signs.

We aren’t a very smart species, especially when it comes to global events that take decades to occur. We’re like squirrels, you need to place a peanut in front of us in order for us to react.

As long as it’s not the dead bodies of the rich and of politicians I’ll stay sceptical.

The rich will build climate bunker areas for themselves and some form of elite and the rest will have to die for what the survivors caused.

That’s the full on dystopia I expect but hope not to see anymore in my lifetime. And I hope I’ll be proven wrong.

They can build all the bunkers they won’t. It won’t save them in the long run.

In the long run it won’t but they might buy themselves a few years or even decades.

Everyone dies in the long run, so that’s fairly meaningless to them. What they want is just the next quarter.

degrowth is inevitable. either by choice or imposed by climate disasters, we will consume less as a group, after all, dead people are extremely environmentally friendly.

Climate change already has killed thousands of people. Starvation due to recent drought and people killed in floodings are examples of this.

But of course stupid people will just point out, that there have always been droughts and floodings and ignore the significant increase in such catastrophes.
