Recently, a couple of people started losing images in their private galleries from the text-to-image-plugin
.
Here are some posts about it:
- Reddit Post about Gallery being Purged
- Tsuyoi KaiZoKu mentioned from Discord that some of their images in a private gallery disappeared after saving it into the gallery after a certain amount of time (I wasn’t able to replicate it and they mentioned it might be depending on the number of images on the gallery).
Please comment below any information/problems you also encountered with the same issue.
Some helpful information you can provide:
- Generation date of the image saved into the gallery that has disappeared.
- When the purge/disappearance of images happened
- Generator that you have your gallery on
- Any test you tried to replicate the problem
Thanks!
Thanks for reporting! This is unfortunately a known issue (that I hadn’t mentioned anywhere) related to abuse-prevention and safety - e.g. to prevent children from accidentally seeing images that are not appropriate for their age. I’m still working on this and I haven’t yet hit upon an ideal solution.
Images are not deleted - just temporarily hidden when viewed from a new device (or same device if localStorage/cookies are cleared, or in incognito), but it should only occur if the images are potentially not appropriate for all audiences (but note that even words like “kiss” can trigger the filter).
The workaround that I’d suggest to users having this problem is to simply use the image generator on the new device for a few minutes, and the items should come back. Again, certainly not an ideal solution, but it’ll do for now.
I would probably also mention about users getting Error: 520, upon prompting explicit NSFW prompts in
ai-text-plugin
, I would assume it is the same.Hmm, strange. That shouldn’t happen. I just tried a non-PG prompt and it worked fine for me. The 520 errors will sometimes occur (I’m working on trying to reduce them), but usually just indicate some sort of inference failure. If you hear several reports of this, especially with some sort of reproducible example, please do let me know.
