      The important distinction there is those people want to work together to make a thing they want to make. Those people tend to also be extremely comfortable with digital communication as their primary method of interaction. Of course they can make it work.

      I’m not saying people can’t cooperate remotely just as well, if not better than in person, or that any employer should be forcing anyone back to the office without hard evidence the remote work is fucking things up, but we know for a fact human behavior tends to change when interacting with people in person versus digitally, and it should be acknowledged that sometimes that means remote work is not always going to work as well in every case.

        They didn’t aquire Hobby Lobby. It’s VMware. You think VMware engineers aren’t comfortable with digital communication?
