see now this is a creative effective form of punishment: It’s teaching her a lesson and hopefully rehabilitating her behavior. as opposed to getting an ankle monitor and being confined to house arrest or probation or community service or something, all which would do nothing to teach her how workers in the fast food industry should be treated with dignity and respect as fellow humans.
The only problem is imagine being the manager of a fast food restaurant and knowing that this vitriolic woman is on your staff and you need to keep an extra eye on her to make sure she doesn’t lash out in anger at colleagues and customers
No… No supervision… Fire her ass! Let her live with the reality of the situation, that those poor kids behind that register can and do get fired for the silliest of shit.
Make her have to job hunt for the rest of her punishment term lol. Only thing worse than working retail is having to beg some mid-20’s “manager” for a shit retail job ;)
Babysitting a Karen who’s court ordered to be there though? Minions that are difficult to get rid of can be a special kind of mess, ask anyone who was in the military for a while ;)
Not suggesting the firings be in addition to the sentence, just that she not end up being a fast food managers responsibility in any way. If she Karens as a cashier, she should be just as gone as anyone else. I’m suggesting she simply be allowed to self-inflict without any special allowances for the court order is all.
Judges can’t sentence anyone to work at a fast food restaurant. They can however make a deal with the defendant to do almost whatever they want, in lieu of the full sentence they would otherwise face.
Which means if the person doesn’t complete their end of the deal, to the judges satisfaction, the full sentence would be applied.
So she has to do the job, well enough that the manager doesn’t complain to the judge, or else she probably faces a few more months jail time on top of probation.

I see your point, your approach is fine too. But just remember, working in fast food is a punishment in and of itself.

One other problem is the punishment is mildly insulting to the victim.
“You have committed a crime. Your punishment is to involuntarily do the same job that your victim normally does.”
