You do know that companies have their own overhead that needs paying too?

Claiming that all surplus value is stolen just makes you look like an idiot to people who don’t agree with you

True, like their CEO’s $1.5m a year salary, and the $5.5m a year they spend on empty offices. All that overhead they HAVE to pay for.

You missed the point. For the meme above, just add a second slice of pizza with “company overhead”, and leave the rest as “stolen value of labor”

The point is overhead should come out of the owners and investors pizza. Not the workers pizza. If the reason you can’t give the workers their whole pizza is because “you have a business to run” then you shouldn’t have a business.

Why are you assuming that the full pizza represents the company’s revenue?

You own a business, don’t you? The memes not aimed at you, it’s aimed at businesses with billionaire CEOs and the like.

That doesn’t make it any less ridicilous

Do you think businesses with billionaire CEOs don’t have overhead?

Maybe they can use their billions to cover that overhead instead of allowing their workers to suffer. There is no ethical way to earn billions.

Edit: in fact, that’s the entire point of this meme that you conveniently missed. Any profit after expenses goes to the billionaires, not the workers who put in the most work.

What expenses? According to the meme, there is only wages paid to workers and stolen value of labor

The meme doesn’t have any labels identifying what the whole pizza represents. And we’re taking it too seriously tbh, but I read it as the whole pizza is your individual labor value. The missing part is the labor that’s not properly compensated. The slice that does remain is what you are actually compensated. And taxes and rent cut into that.
