So far the mobile site is way better than Reddit. I feel like Reddit was always humping my leg trying to get me to install their shitty app.
I also really like the federated aspect, but I do agree with others in that I fear this may be too confusing for the average user and it won’t catch on.
Well the new Reddit mobile site is a sadly typical mess of client side rendering and megabytes of javascript tracking code slowing things down.
Personally I don’t mind if it’s too confusing for the average idiot that just wants to scroll thru memes. Go back 4-6 years and Reddit was a place full of wonderful intelligent discussion and debate, always respectful. That’s largely gone away. If we could get that here, I’d be okay without the meme scrolling.
