His privacy was not being invaded whatsoever and he approached the situation like an asshole.

They’re a gym, unless the business has stated the rules that prohibit recording then I don’t see why privacy is a matter to discuss as more or less at all.

Fact is if it were prohibited then he could have alerted staff, if it were not he could have asked or stated that he didn’t want to be in the background of the video. Instead he put himself in the video and made a scene, was aggressive and threatening and you’re defending him.

He wasn’t nice about it and that was wrong but you rarely have the right to record a person without their permission and she had no right to record him. It doesn’t matter the rules of the gym, it’s his right to not be filmed. He could have been put in danger by her actions.

It’s not at all his right to not be filmed if the gym allows filming. He was not being filmed until he put himself in there, he behaved despicably. If someone else’s perfectly normal and legal actions put him in danger that is his problem.

I don’t think influencers should be filming their shit but if someone does just report it and move on or engage like a decent person and explain the situation. If the gym doesn’t allow it, same as above. If they do, deal with it and ask that you do not be in the video. There is no expectation of privacy in public places, businesses are open to the public so unless it is stated in their policy then this guy acted the prick.

The gym can not ‘allow filming’. They can put big signs everywhere to say that they will be filming in the gym and to let them know if you don’t want to be filmed, but even then there’s an opt out.

A private business does not count as a public space. Even in a public space, you can not film a person without their permission in most scenarios as stated before.

It is definitely not ‘legal actions’ and if you think you have the right to endanger people just to make a stupid video that says a lot about you.
