Then, starting in 2016, the Trump administration stuck a bunch of Trump’s buddies into a bunch of extremely important intelligence/counter-intel positions, and they basically tried to use the agencies they were in charge of as mechanisms to help Trump gain and consolidate more power above all other goals.
The amount of people who think Trump is “strong on defense” just because he acts like a bully is just… astounding.
