Premieres January 4, 2024. The English name they are going with is “Delicious in Dungeon”, but personally, I like the romaji for this series better. They also released a new trailer here that you can watch. In addition, they tweeted that this will air for two consecutive cours. Synopsis from AniList:

When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions…and a member! They’re eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they’re sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: “Let’s eat the monsters!” Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons…none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!

I am so hyped for this. I love the manga so much so it’s my top winter pick for sure.

The manga is so good. It makes me want to play a D&D character that cooks monsters.

Yeah, I haven’t read the manga, but have heard great things. I put it on my list to check out next season. It also helps that it is being made by Studio Trigger that usually does excellent work. I absolutely loved what they did with the Little Witch Academia anime.

I love Little Witch! It was such a cute series with all of the style of Trigger. Whenever I recommend Delicious in Dungeon to people, I try empathize that it’s a bit of a slow burn. The manga starts out with introducing the premise, but is pretty episodic early on with super slow development to the main plot. It might take few episodes to settle into the main plot even in the anime but I swear it’s not a monster of the week anime, that they then eat.
