My tendency seems to be owning my own business and freelancing until I die (until I get stable enough to build my own products). I’ve been trying to connect with more business-minded people–“average of 5 people” type of mentality. Currently it seems that the only way of doing this is LinkedIn.

But obviously, LinkedIn is creepy.

Any other people think this? How having a federated business networking platform would be awesome?

    It looks like Polywork might be what you are looking for. The early adopters are, as you can imagine, very tech orientated but that is changing as the numbers grow.

      Actually, the idea is intriguing, because I first and foremost provide tech expertise to enterprise businesses, but I also write fiction and take pictures. I sometimes post my stories (seldomly) on my main “business” social media profiles. Polywork seems to be like, “Yeah, we know you do. It’s safe to do that here.” 😆
