I like to do whatever it is, if possible. So in your case set up a test lab and implement the different steps and tweak the various config files etc.

It really depends how you learn. Try to figure that our first. You might like to read , watch , listen or do . It could be a combination of them also.

Another thing is teaching if you can teach a friend or a colleague or your pet then you know you know it 😉
