minus-square@touristlink4•1 year agoYeah, the latter. There is an API, but I think it was only released in the last month or so. I’m not sure to what extent it’s complete. A kbin instance can be downloaded as a PWA, and it works decent. As for third party apps there’s Lunar, iOS only. Haven’t tried it. There was also Artemis. It had the best UI/UX design I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately the dev appears to have vanished. Before the API, I think they were web scraping.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish1•1 year agoThat’s definitely not true, they had an API back in September when I looked into adding support for it They didn’t have an sdk, but the API most certainly has been around for a while
minus-square@touristlink1•1 year agoYou’re correct. I misunderstood. The API has indeed been around for a while. The main instance (kbin.social) only started using it around a month ago: https://kbin.social/m/kbinDevlog/t/642285/kbin-RTR-19-Summary-of-current-work-and-plans-for-the Apologies for the confusion.
