Apple is making a lot of strides towards promoting digital accessibility. I hope other companies follow suit. There seem to be a lot of new opportunities to use AR to create new accessibility features. I just thought I’d share in case anyone is interested.
No problem. Yeah there are a lot of cool assistive technologies and devices coming out. It is an exciting time. Have you heard of the apps Be My Eyes or Seeing AI. Those might be ones to check out too.
Yep. Those are really great ones. I use seeing AI pretty much every day to tell identically shaped cans of corn/beans/coconut milk apart, or sort through mail etc. Still waiting for the day where I have a need for be my eyes, but it’s cool that it’s an option.
