      Should be “production” but often just referred to as “prod”. Meaning the actual website the character/author is trying to use rather than a developer/staging website.

        “prod” remains “production” even if used as an adjective? Man, English really is weird sometimes. I’ll try to fix it later; I’m at work right now.

          It’s a system that is in production, it is the product, a production system, not a system that is producing.

          I suppose that is a very native English thing. Sorry! Hope that helps.

          Production/prod is a noun in this case. It’s the name of the system/environment. Converting the noun into an adjective just doesn’t make sense.

          “Production” refers to the released version of the software. “Productive” can refer to how useful something is, so I guess a productive website would be one that you use for work.

        I know that but it’s odd the artist doesn’t. How can you write about IT and not know that?
