You overpaid quite a bit if you paid 1800 in 2018/2019 should’ve been around 1300 that time period. 1500 if late 2019. Even so Gold is like a less volatile index fund. It gives less but you risk less, historically.
If you buy gold to invest, you’re doing it wrong. It’s supposed to be a hedge. It’ll never give you amazing returns, but it will almost certainly never lose the value you put in, either.
