Another fun pose today. Saw this great pic scrolling through the new pics this morning.

This photographer also has another great set of what look to be siblings of this little owl I’ll share tomorrow where they come off a little tougher, for young owls anyway.

This was the first time I have seen this Great Horned Owlet attempt to fly. It was going pretty well until he decided to try landing. He landed with his back to me and immediately began losing his balance. As he fell backward, his wing got caught in one of the branches. At that point, he was hanging upside down. After freeing his wing, he began to pull himself up. Then he looked right at me, probably asking himself, ‘I wonder if he saw that?’ Yes, I did.
