First post! I’m using the memmy beta and really impressed so far how easy it is to use - really like the UI as well but one feature I really liked on Apollo was being able to swipe right over the bottom of tabs to go back rather than having to reach for the back button at the top of the screen. Would be a great quality of life feature for me don’t know how others feel?

Hi there o/ Glad to hear that you’re enjoying the app! (especially the UI :P)

This is definitely something that has been considered and will likely be implemented soon. We didn’t actually know about it until a few users told us about it on our Discord server.

Also quick note, you don’t need to tap the top, you can just swipe from the far left side at any point.

Give us a shout if you have any other suggestions or concerns surrounding the app. We may not reply to all of them, but we definitely read them.

Awesome to hear and great work on the app so far! Ahh ofc! That was also a feature on Apollo as well iirc? I think the way I discovered the bottom swipe option was initially finding the swipe from far left occasionally made me upvote a comment instead so I found the bottom swipe was more reliable.

Defo still much easier than tapping back at the top so happy to discover that functionality exists!

Please also consider full screen swipe, it’s generally more accessible on bigger phones. Swiping the bottom row requires thumb gymnastics as well. It’s easy to test.

Normally the thumb rests towards the middle of the screen.

Wow, this is the first I’m hearing about wiping the bottom in Apollo (after years of using it), and the first in hearing about swiping left from the top in Memmy.

      Great little feature!

Adding onto the post, Apollo offered both left and right swipes from the bottom to move back-and-forth. If possible, I’d recommend seeking out a video demo of the stuff Apollo offered if you wanna add in as many features as possible.

Oh also, you could do the API key trick to (temporarily) bring back Apollo and mess around with its settings; that should give you enough of a base to figure out which UI elements and features you wanna add.
