Reminds me of the Psychlos from Battlefield Earth. Awkwardly walking slowly through every scene they are in because of the boots/stilts that were part of the costume.
Not the person you were talking with, but it definitely didn’t help that Carnival Row halted production for like 3-5 years between seasons, but the ending was pretty satisfying and the series was really cool but sad overall.
Probably pretty hard to run in those lifts, he’ll likely have to mechanically stagger back home awkwardly.
