The problem is that if I’m going to Indy, my daughter will beg to come and then we’ll end up going through the library at warp speed and afterward she’ll insist on going somewhere else like Greenwood Park Mall or an antique mall and I don’t really want to do that. But I will get there eventually.
It’s the ‘going through the library at light speed’ part I would not be happy about. And considering how she is with art museums, I think that’s what would happen.
She actually does like art. She just has ADHD, so museums are tough on her. And she has no idea who Vonnegut was either, which would also make going to the library with her hard. I’m just going to have to do it on a day where she’s got something else scheduled. Maybe this summer.

You’re worried that you’ll have a lovely time on a daytrip?

Why the Greenwood Park Mall specifically? Lol
Eiteljorg museum, NCAA headquarters (if you’re a sports person), the state museum, and the canal walk are fun things to do in Indy.
She loves it there. And she is like lightning in museums, which is the problem.
I barely like art museums as an adult ;)
I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to do it when I was younger.
Air and space museum for me / children’s museum for my son:
Good luck!

Rough, I can relate.
