I think the options themselves are perfect, active as a front page and hot for more frequent browsing, but the algorithms are unbalanced after the massive increase in user base.

I don’t really understand the point of “active”. Seems like the same handful of threads just stay on top for like 2 days at a time.
I prefer “hot” for browsing All, then I’ll use “new” for my subscriptions to see if there are any cool posts I might have missed.
