I read about this, there are even deaf couples who try to make sure their children are deaf, and are shunned if they aren’t, because being part of the deaf community is their identity. Trying to “fix” it is seen as bad as it’s essentially an attack on their identity.
Lol there’s definitely going to be a certain segment of the deaf community who won’t be happy about this
