A lot of questions on here are aimed at the reddit users experiences, but I’ve been wondering what the older users thought of his move. Are there any reddit cultures you are hoping do not come with the users? Are you confident or fearful of the growth coming from the reddit community? I’m curious how the reddit influx is changing these communities either for better or for worse.

Reddit went downhill due to its investors demanding ad revenue. Do you see that being an issue here?

That is a very important factor, but there are also social and cultural factors unrelated to reddit’s money-grabbing. This place won’t just be good because it’s nonprofit. Case study: Wolfballs. Cultural issues need to be identified too.

Reddit’s problems are primarily because of its users and the culture they foster, which would continue to exist with or without Reddit’s investors. Of course, this is not an issue that will be addressed, and the new users will come in and recreate the exact culture and justify it by complaining about greed in the most milquetoast, Reddit approved manner possible.
