I think that must be true, because I’ve never had an issue or flair up with Taco Bell food. And my stomach gets upset over almost ANTYHING, so that’s really unusual for me. The only time I really got horribly sick was from eating undercooked chicken from a regular restaurant - and that kept me in bed for about a week.
Not the salmonella but yeah, the e coli outbreak(s) started with improperly handled Taco Bell lettuce so that makes sense.
And afaik you only get salmonella from undercooked poultry and eggs, so a beef thing with no lettuce should be relatively safe!
Common misconception! I don’t know the full extent of what does carry salmonella risk, but here’s an fda piece about raw flour warning of salmonella exposure https://www.fda.gov/food/buy-store-serve-safe-food/handling-flour-safely-what-you-need-know
Anecdotally I’ve heard that the raw flour in cookie dough is much more likely to make you sick than the raw eggs
Good to know, thanks!
