The article calls the allegations agains UNRWA “explosive” yet they are completely unconfirmed . WME was once the agency of Charlie Chaplin who sympathetically depicted immigrants and refugees and was forced into exile by Washington during the McCarthy era witch hunts. If they currently find it controversial for one of their clients to share a fundraiser for people in need, they are allowing those same cycles to repeat and it may be time to find a new agency.

Most “agents” are outdated and are only middlemen.

Like, no one in their right mind has a travel agent, real estate agents are avoided wherever possible, and talent agents are just as useless.

Pre internet they made sense, but now theyre just parasites that take a percentage of large transactions for often no effort.

Hard disagree on real estate agent. They’ve been an absolute lifesaver for me in finding reasonable places to rent that actually feel like home, and I’ve noticed every time that the agents seem to have access to listings that I don’t see online.

Plus, as the buyer, their services are often free. Literally nothing to lose from taking a meeting with one to see what options they can present.

They are not unconfirmed. You just haven’t seen the raw intelligence. People who have seen it said it was irrefutable, i.e. numerous politicians and diplomats in the decisions of what a dozen or more countries that pulled UNRWA funding? The employees involved were fired immediately, the ones still alive, anyway. It’s utter conspiratorial nonsense to say unconfirmed.

Even if it was confirmed, it was 4 people. Out of a non-profit of 10k+. Israel has presented no evidence that anyone else in UNRWA was involved in the actions of the individuals in question.

They sure like to intimate that the entire organization is Hamas, but they have no evidence for the claim whatsoever (or they would be shouting it from the rooftops as their proof).

You’re right. That’s how diplomacy works. Money talks. How’d they let terrorists infiltrate the UN? You can still send your money. Careful who you send it to though, obviously. Somehow, four people–and where there’s four there’s more–with absolutely psychotic affiliations and ideologies were accepted or overlooked.

The US actually admitted it hasn’t verified Israel’s UNRWA claims . Therefore it is unconfirmed. The actual conspiracy theory is believing claims without evidence and further spreading them. It’s unfortunate that you think the claims justify the collective punish of an entire people ( a war crime under the Geneva convention ) , an organization of thousands and an actress who shared a fundraiser for the people harmed by this misinformation.
