I had to stop everything to check out the hype around Palworld and I’m having a bit of fun with it. There is no real story so it has the appeal of Animal Crossing to me. There is something zen about upgrading your base, exploring, capturing Pals, and getting more and better gear. I still don’t have guns yet, just a crossbow, but I do have a mining camp to get me ore easily so I’m getting there.

Other than that, still playing the Finals and trying to complete the battle pass (which is something I never thought I would say in my life). Historically I’ve hated F2P games, but there is just something about the Finals that speaks to me. I love it, especially now that they added gyro aiming. I even spent the cash to get the Edge controller because of it. I wouldn’t say the controller is worth the $200, but it is very nice and has improved my game with the back paddles. I would probably recommend it if you are serious about FPS, or if you can get it for $150 or less, or if you manhandle your controllers so much that you get stick drift. Personally, 2 of my 3 dual sense have the thumbstick material bubbling up away from the stick and I find it annoying. So having the edge where I could remove the thumbsticks is theoretically nice.

I’ve dabbled in Spiderman 2 also but I haven’t made much progress recently. I’m at the first MJ mission so that’s been cool. The fact that I’ve been loving the Finals so much that I’ve been neglecting SM2 is a testament to how much I like it.

Sea of Stars is on hold for now, but I’m at an inflection point in the game with a big mystery about to be revealed soon. Really excited to see more. It really feels like an improvement of Chrono Trigger, and that is just about the best praise I can give it.

Excited to start Justant, but I haven’t yet. It’s sitting there in my library tempting me every time I log on. Soon, I promise.

What about all of you?

I just finished TLOU 2 the other day, right before Grounded II released, which I proceeded to watch - that was great to bring me some sort of closure and perspective on the game.
It was definitely one of, if not the, best game(s) I’ve ever played.

For a bit of a “lighter experience”, I managed to borrow Journey from my local library, so I dusted off the ol’ PS3 and got it lined up for today.
Next up, FF VII Remake and Intermission, to hopefully be ready for Rebirth by the 29th!

I also completely agree on the Edge, I picked it up for 40% off (Amazon Warehouse Deals) about a year ago and it’s been a very worthwhile purchase, but at MSRP it’s not worth it IMO.
