After listing all the different eagle owls, I decided to look up some of them I wasn’t familiar with.
This big owl is considered the 6th largest in the world at 50 to 65 cm (20 to 26 in).
Their long eyebrows give them a unique look annoying among the eagle owls.
Known as the “Devil Bird” in Sri Lankan mythology, its call terrifies people by its human like scream sound. This video tells the legend and has the shriek. Skip to about 3:20 to hear the sound. The myth is pretty gory and twisted. Skip the 1:40-2:10 part if you don’t want to hear that bit.
I didn’t really notice it as a mistake lol they do look quite annoyed sometimes!
