minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink1•7 months agoIrrespective, joining the USA should not be like joining the mob. If the majority of a state’s citizens want to go it alone independently then they should be allowed to do so.
They can’t secede the same way the 13 British colonies can’t become their own country.

The point is mostly that no matter what’s written in the US Constitution, saying something can’t happen geopolitically is extremely short-sighted.
Irrespective, joining the USA should not be like joining the mob. If the majority of a state’s citizens want to go it alone independently then they should be allowed to do so.
