I saw her get interviewed at ComiCon two years ago. I’d read about her firing, and I knew she was falling down some right-wing rabbit holes, so I was curious to see if her interview was insane. She did make one comment that confirmed she had become conspiracy-pilled (she made a reference to how we’re all, “living in the Matrix,” a common refrain in Qanon circles), but honestly, she just struck me as someone who was tired, lost, and sad.

I think she threw her career away trying to impress right-wing grifters. Now she’s about to get dragged into a what will probably be a long, difficult legal battle she’ll almost certainly lose by yet another scam artist. Even though I don’t particularly like her, I really can’t help but feel sorry for her.

And the really sad thing is, it won’t help her. Disney has a fantastic legal team for better or worse. She may have found work again (elsewhere), but doubling down makes that less likely, unless she wants to work for a pillow company.
