Yeah. In general Democratic presidents don’t need to attract the left into voting for them. They need to attract the moderates. People who traditionally might vote Republican, or these days just stay home.

They persist in thinking they need to attract the moderates, but I’m skeptical.

This is the kinda dumbass thinking that got Trump in the first place. Leftists are becoming increasingly agitated at the complete lack of representation they’re getting in government, and so far the Democrat response has been “Shut the fuck up and get in line.” Maybe Leftists will be motivated enough by the threat of a DJT presidency, but there’s as good a chance that they’ll vote third party to voice their displeasure again.

I especially think that in the unlikely event that Trump is deemed ineligible to run, Nikki Haley has a very strong chance to win. If Dems lose the threat of Trump, Leftists will lose a lot of reason to support them, even though Haley is just as dangerous.

If leftists want more representation they need to vote for Congress people who are leftists. I’m also a leftist and vote for the most left wing and progressive candidates I can every election.

But that doesn’t matter if most people don’t want the same thing. Leftists and progressives are still a minority in the US. And all the bitching and moaning won’t change that.

Anyone who votes third party is a Trump vote. Or so stupid they don’t know how our government works. If you don’t vote or vote for Trump because Biden isn’t leftist enough, you are a Trump supporter.

I don’t like the two party system either but ensuring a fascist gets in office and removes future elections right solve that.
