Having the opportunity to see one raptor while out with the camera is a treat but getting to see two different ones at the same time is amazing. As I was taking pictures of this Red Morphed Screech Owl, this Coopers Hawk crashed the party. It landed about 5 feet below the Screech Owl and had no idea it was above it. The Screech turned into a statue but kept its right eye on the Hawk, and after the Coopers flew away the Screech quickly ducked into its hole and hid. It was a few minutes after the Coopers flew off before the Screech came up and took a look around and all the time it was watching to make sure the coast was clear.
