    I am not familiar with this stuff, does someone know why it states it is censored (lower left corner)? Did they remove dead bodies from the photograph or something?

      Could be just a marker that it went through the censoring process, that is, some official gave his ok.

      I think military censors are wary of depiction of war material, as they may be giving away secrets.

      Paul Hoffman was a photographer and publisher from Berlin, I think the photos are pre marked so the censors would not have to individually vet them.
